Kentucky’s Lux Row Distillers has introduced a new addition to its Rebel 100 line: the Rebel 100 Bourbon Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish. This special whiskey, aged for four years at Lux Row Distillers before being finished in oloroso Sherry casks from Jerez, offers unique flavors. The Sherry casks infuse the whiskey with overtones of caramel and vanilla, hints of raisins, figs, and plums, and a nuttiness complemented by subtle spicy oak notes.

Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), this whiskey continues the Rebel 100 tradition of high-proof expressions. John Rempe, the master distiller and blender at Lux Row Distillers, describes this release as embodying the true passion of Spain and perfectly complementing Rebel’s disruptive spirit.
This exclusive release is limited to just 6,000 bottles and will be available only outside the US. It will be distributed by Craftwork in the UK and Kammer-Kirsch in Germany, retailing at £44/€39 (US$56). Greg Mefford, international sales director at Luxco, highlights the company’s commitment to innovation in American whiskey. He notes that Lux Row Distillers has built a substantial global fan base, attracting both collectors and newcomers with their unique releases.
Since 2019, Rebel Bourbon has introduced four secondary finishes: French oak barrels, Cognac casks, tawny Port barrels, and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. This latest release continues the brand’s trend of offering distinctive and diverse whiskey expressions. Rebel’s brand manager, Philip Lux, has expressed plans to further expand the brand, hinting at more exciting developments in the future.
