I assume that everyone has heard of Glenfiddich. However, did you know that Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One Team just signed a multi-year partnership?
In order to create some truly amazing events that will thrill enthusiasts from both sectors, Glenfiddich wants this partnership to concentrate on the intersection of whiskey and motorsport.

Glenfiddich kicked off the collaboration by releasing a 1959 single cask whisky. This well aged whisky was laid down in the year Aston Martin first entered Formula One and won at the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans. Glenfiddich’s Malt Master Brian Kinsman says the whisky offers an “unparalleled depth and complexity,” a fitting tribute to the milestones both brands achieved that year.
This 1959 bottling has been matured in a Sherry butt. The resulting liquid has a deep mahogany color, a rich nose with notes of aged leather, beeswax, and dried fruits, and a palate that blends festive spices with bittersweet dark chocolate.

Lawrence Stroll, the executive chairman of the Aston Martin Formula One Team, called the collaboration a merger of "perfection and innovation." Furthermore, he stated that the Las Vegas event offered a chance to provide "unforgettable experiences that transcend the racetrack and whisky world alike."
A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Performance
Aston Martin was founded in 1913, and has quite a history in motorsport, competing in its first Grand Prix in 1922. In the past the Aston Martin team did in fact join Formula One in 1959 and 1960, and after quite a hiatus returned to the grid in 2021 under the guidance of Lawrence Stroll. Since then, Aston Martin has truly concretized itself as a force to be reckoned with in Formula One, including eight podium finishes in the 2023 season.

Glenfiddich in its own field has been a trailblazer. During the 1950s the brand helped lay the foundation for single malt Scotch whisky’s global recognition. The 1959 cask, selected for this partnership, was crafted under Gordon Grant, Glenfiddich's third Malt Master.
Looking Ahead
In 2025, Glenfiddich will get its logo put on Aston Martin Formula One cars. There will also be a number of events and experiences as the partnership grows, all trying to highlight the excitement of racing and the beauty of whisky.
