America's 47, a unique bourbon blend created at the request of organizers to honor the 47th Presidential Inaugural Ball, which took place in Washington, D.C. on Monday, January 20, 2025, was unveiled by Log Still Distillery.
The Bluegrass Ball, an annual celebration of Kentucky's culture and leadership in Washington, D.C., where whiskey takes center stage as America's native spirit, also poured this premium bourbon throughout the weekend.
“Bourbon is deeply tied to America’s history, and we were proud to represent Kentucky at this momentous event. Being invited to blend a bourbon for the Inaugural Ball is a testament to our state’s heritage and the role bourbon plays in bringing people together.” ~ Wally Dant, Founder and President of Log Still Distillery
America's 47 honors Log Still's ties to Kentucky and the nation's past by taking its name from the 47th Inaugural Ball and the distillery's DSP-KY-47 classification. The essence of what makes bourbon distinctively American was encapsulated in this limited-edition production.
The fact that the label for America's 47 was created in partnership with Belmark, a Wisconsin-based corporation commemorating its 47th year in operation, adds to the release's significance. Log Still's commitment to perfection is mirrored in Belmark's devotion to quality and innovation, thus this collaboration makes perfect sense.
In honor of the 47th President and our DSP-KY-47, America's 47 is a mix of two High Rye and one Wheated bourbon that is added over a period of five to seven years. The result is a rich and well-balanced expression at 47% ABV (94 Proof).
