Two leading whiskey brands, Brother’s Bond Bourbon and WhistlePig Whiskey, have announced a collaboration focused on sustainable craftsmanship. Both brands are releasing limited-edition, farm-based whiskeys: Brother’s Bond Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey and WhistlePig’s FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye Whiskey. This partnership highlights their commitment to grain-to-glass sustainability and supports American farmers. A portion of the proceeds from these releases will go to Regenerate America, a coalition promoting regenerative agriculture, stewarded by the non-profit Kiss the Ground.

A Meeting of Minds
The collaboration between these two whiskey makers began in an unusual way. The Brother’s Bond team encountered one of WhistlePig’s farm pigs in Los Angeles, which led to a discussion about sustainable whiskey production. “It’s unusual for whiskey competitors to convene over our secret sauce,” said Meghan Ireland, Chief Blender at WhistlePig. “But the chance to pave the way for the industry in responsible farming? We were all about it. We’re beyond excited to team up with Brother’s Bond this harvest season.”

Brother’s Bond Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon

Brother’s Bond Bourbon, founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, launched in 2021 with a focus on sustainability. A portion of proceeds from every bottle sold has been donated to Kiss the Ground. Their latest release, Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey (95 Proof), is made from grain grown within 20 miles of Southern Distilling Company’s Statesville distillery in North Carolina. This four-grain straight bourbon whiskey is a blend of three-year-old bourbon and six-year-old wheated bourbon, aged using custom toast and char methods.
“Regenerative agriculture, a holistic farming approach that builds the health of the soil, is at the heart of this newest expression,” shared Somerhalder. “By focusing on these practices, we not only improve the health of the land but also enhance the rich, complex flavors of our bourbon.”
WhistlePig FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye Whiskey

WhistlePig, known for its dedication to sustainable whiskey-making, operates on a 500-acre farm in Vermont. Their distillery uses Fall-seeded Rye grain to reduce runoff and protect local water quality, converts 100% of distillery waste to renewable energy, sources all water sustainably from the farm well, and operates entirely on solar power.
Their annual limited release, FarmStock Beyond Bonded Rye Whiskey, is a 100-proof Straight Rye 100% Farm Whiskey, bottled-in-bond.
