Crown Royal Bets a Nation Still Knows How to Show Up
Crown Royal has rolled out a new brand platform called "Bring It," and the idea behind it is pretty simple once you break it down. It's not about one bar, one city, or one group of people. It's about what happens when regular folks show up and add something to the moment — a dance move, a family tradition, or just good energy that rubs off on everyone around them. The whisky brand is betting that this message will resonate with people who value community, tradition, and showing up for the people around them.
The campaign officially launched on June 29, 2026, and it's built around the idea that the best nights out, the best gatherings, and the best traditions aren't handed down from some corporate playbook. They're built by the people in the room. Crown Royal is leaning into that idea hard, and they backed it up with a real event, a real song, and a real dance that anyone can learn.
An Anthem Built for the Dance Floor, Not the Sidelines
At the heart of "Bring It" sits an original song, co-performed by Canadian country artist Ryan Langdon and Randy Savvy, who's part of the well-known Compton Cowboys. Pairing a country artist with a member of a group known for blending western culture with Compton roots is a signal in itself — this campaign isn't trying to stay in one lane. It's mixing traditions the same way a good whisky cocktail mixes flavors.
The song isn't just background noise for a commercial, either. It's meant to be the actual soundtrack for a night of dancing, and fans can go stream it right now on Spotify if they want to hear what all the fuss is about.
Alongside the anthem, Crown Royal brought in Emmy Award–winning choreographer Kat Burns to put together an original line dance. This wasn't performed by hired dancers off in a studio somewhere — it was performed with actual members of Austin's two-step and line dancing communities, the people who already live this culture every weekend. The whole point of the campaign, according to the brand, is to get people onto the dance floor instead of just standing around watching somebody else have fun.
A One-Night Honky Tonk in the Middle of L.A.
To kick things off, Crown Royal threw an exclusive one-night event at Desert 5 Spot in Los Angeles. The venue was set up to feel like a Texas honky tonk, and the guest list mixed country music fans with whisky drinkers who came out to see what the brand was building.

The night included a live performance of the new anthem, a hands-on line dance tutorial led by Kat Burns herself, and a DJ set from Charly Jordan to keep the energy going between performances. Actress Natalie Alyn Lind showed up as a special guest, and the bar was stocked with signature Crown Royal cocktails so guests could toast the night the way the brand intended.
James Valdes, Director of Crown Royal, summed up the thinking behind the whole platform:
"Bring It celebrates the simple truth that everyone has something worth contributing to their community. Whether it's a signature dance move, a beloved tradition, or the positive energy you bring to those around you, this platform recognizes that everyone has something special to offer—and we're inviting people to share it."
Where "Bring It" Goes From Here
This isn't a one-and-done ad campaign. Crown Royal has already said "Bring It" will roll out across the country through social media, digital ads, broadcast spots, and out-of-home advertising all summer long. So expect to see this show up on billboards, in your social feed, and probably on TV before football season rolls around.
But the brand is also planning to keep the platform alive well past summer. According to Crown Royal, "Bring It" will continue showing up throughout the year through live events, cultural partnerships, and collaborations that touch on music, nightlife, sports, and fashion. Basically, anywhere people gather and bring their own flavor to the table, Crown Royal wants to be part of that conversation.
A Drink to Match the Message
Crown Royal isn't just telling people to bring something to the table — they're giving people a reason to gather around one. The brand released a signature cocktail called the Crown Royal Deluxe and Lemonade, built to be an easy, crowd-pleasing drink for whatever gathering you're hosting this summer.
Crown Royal Deluxe and Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Crown Royal Fine De Luxe
- 4-5 oz Lemonade (to fill)
- 2-3 dashes of bitters
- Garnish: lemon wheel and mint bouquet
Directions: Build the ingredients into a highball glass filled with ice, stir it together, and finish it off with a lemon wheel and a bit of mint for garnish.
It's a simple drink, which fits the whole message of the campaign — you don't need anything fancy to bring people together. You just need to show up.
A Brand With Some History Behind It
Crown Royal isn't a new name trying to make noise for the first time. It's the number-one selling Canadian whisky brand in the world, and the story behind it goes back to 1939, when it was specially blended to commemorate a visit from the King and Queen of Great Britain touring Canada. That royal connection is baked into the name, the packaging, and the brand's whole identity as a smooth, well-crafted whisky worth giving as a gift.
Crown Royal is part of Diageo North America, a company with a deep bench of well-known beverage brands including Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray, and Guinness, among others. Diageo sells its products in nearly 180 countries and is publicly traded on both the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
If you want to keep up with what Crown Royal does next with "Bring It," the brand is posting updates on Instagram at @crownroyal and on their website, crownroyal.com. And as always, Crown Royal is reminding everyone to enjoy their whisky responsibly.
