On June 25, 2025, Lost Lantern, an independent bottler based in Vergennes, Vermont, will release its highly anticipated Summer 2025 Collection, a tribute to the growing trend of estate distilleries in American whiskey. These distilleries, which grow their own grain on their own land, craft spirits that capture the essence of their unique environments. This collection showcases four such distilleries—Frey Ranch in Nevada, Corbin Cash in California, Whiskey Acres in Illinois, and Far North Spirits in Minnesota—each with deep agricultural roots and a commitment to reflecting their land in every bottle. With two limited-edition blends and six single-cask releases, this collection offers whiskey lovers a chance to taste the distinct flavors born from America’s diverse landscapes.
Lost Lantern’s Summer 2025 Collection stands out because it focuses on estate distilleries, a rare breed in the whiskey world. Unlike most of the 3,000-plus distilleries in the United States, these operations control every step of the process, from planting the grain to bottling the whiskey. The result is a spirit that carries the character of its region, shaped by the soil, climate, and hands that farm it. Each of the four distilleries featured in this collection comes from a multi-generational farming family, some with over a century of history working their land. This shared ethos of stewardship and tradition binds them together, even as their whiskies reflect wildly different climates and terrains.
The collection kicks off with two flagship blends: Farmers’ Fields Bourbon and Farmers’ Fields Rye. These limited-edition releases, marked by Lost Lantern’s signature navy label with red and green strips for bourbon and rye, respectively, combine whiskies from multiple estate distilleries.
