Balcones Cask Strength Fr.Oak Aged Single Malt S1B61

Our quest to assemble a selection of casks led us to focus on richer and more substantial Single Malts. We aimed to showcase a familiar profile while elevating it beyond Balcones' standard Single Malt releases. To achieve this, we delved deep into the warehouse and uncovered French oak casks, which impart an intensely dark-fruit backbone to the already bright and fruity Golden Promise Malted Barley distillate. The mouthcoating experience, a result of the oiliness from our Copper Pot Stills, continues to evolve long after the first sip. The marriage of overripe apricot bathed in a syrupy berry compote exemplifies the profound richness that maturation can achieve in the Texas climate with patience and time. Balcones has mastered the art of capturing the essence of its surroundings and has harnessed the unique flavors arising from factors like the water table and extreme weather conditions, solidifying their distinctive approach in the American single malt landscape. One of their most renowned creations is the Balcones Single Malt aged in French oak, aptly named FR.OAK, which has become a beloved classic, and this release, Balcones Cask Strength Fr.Oak Aged Single Malt, presents an intensified version of this cult favorite.
